Studying for N-ClEX

This term in school they are reallly focusing us on getting used to taking tests on a computer instead of paper and pencil. I'm starting to freak out about the boards since we're taking practice HESI tests and the ones I've done at home on my own. I know my main weeknesses are medications and labs. Both of which I had a horible teacher for. My pharmacology class was a waste of time and money. And I feel like we just didn't get enough lecture time to study labs. So, I've set out to learn it on my own. I'm going to start making flash cards and carrying some everywhere I go.

TIPS:
1. If you make flash cards in previous classes SAVE them for when you start reviewing or boards.
2. Take at least five flash cards with you everywhere you go. Pull them out while you're waiting in line, stuck in non moving traffic, etc.
3. Buy the NCLEX-RN review book and use the CD to take practice tests. A lot of the professors pull questions from this book and text books for test questions. And it also helps give you an idea of what you need to work on and get you used to computer testing.
So, this is my first week of a new term. My school has five terms a year. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. While I can't wait for school to be over and to have my schedule settle down. The light at the end of the tunnel is looking more like an on coming train than finally seeing an opening after being trapped in a cave for the past three years. I lucked out and have an amazing clinical instructor this term. I had her in my second term of school and learne a lot because I wasn't constantly stressed out about being screamed at.

This term is adult nursing, we're studying the diseases and systems that we didn't cover in previous courses.
